Lays India used to do a lot of experimental limited-edition flavours back in the day. And I particularly remember a salsa flavour chips they launched in the mid-2000s. And they were delicious. They were spicy but from what I can recall, also had a hint of tanginess in the end that tasted really good. The terrain of the chips had ridges like most Lays India chips have and was available for only a very short period of time.
What a fun and engaging read.. glad you had this treasure hunt! Loved the video as well..
Internet was so new and people were naïve back then.. maybe someone discovers things we build today on the internet and think the same about us decades later :D
I adore solving a good internet mystery... I recently returned a wallet I found on the ground using a combination of LinkedIn, calling Filipino phone numbers and good old fashioned deduction and was delighted. Also, not sure if you read this article about chip flavours from last year but it is delightful! https://www.theguardian.com/food/2023/dec/02/the-weird-secretive-world-of-crisp-flavours
