Best is to have home food. Cook your own food. You will never fall into these traps and best you will stay healthy.

Hi all, this is a common practice with Swiggy and Zomato. I was working as an Executive Chef at a restaurant in Pune, our in house dining revenue was good but we were not earning much from Swiggy and Zomato platforms. The owner and us had a meeting with Zomato PR team, and they suggested that we should open at least 15-20 cloud outlets from our main kitchen to generate more revenue.

The Italian kitchen, the Chinese kitchen, the Indian kitchen, we begin with this only at first.

They make owners and management to pay some amount and will open multiple cloud kitchens from one outlet, and their final reply at the time of facing the facts will be, we are looking into the matter and keep you posted.

I mean, this is crap. You are basically fooling the customer if you are doing so. Fortunately I left the organisation soon after that.

Looks like FSSAI is playing with health & lives of People in this country. The name Khan mentioned is also a pseudo name but in reality it must be in the name of the top minister/MP/MLA. FSSAI by putting the clause mentioned - one premise with multiple food outlets and brands is in itself a scam to help some people to misuse the clause. Stop ordering from Zomato and Swiggy or for that matter any aggregator

Read this after 3 years of you posting this. The same FSSAI number thing is something they have fixed since then it seems, but possibly all of these "restaurants" are still there on Swiggy serving awful disgusting shit in the name of food. In fact these days Swiggy seems to be putting a "Swiggy seal" on these places suggesting the food will be great. It isn't. It's all just hot garbage.

I came from your latest post about how the apps are profiling us based on other installed apps, this is the third article I'm reading, this one having duplicate restaurants and from that article, Swiggy price increased since I installed Netflix, very informative

As always cloud kitchen has 2 sides:

1. Positives: Reduction in costs is mainly from these kitchens saving on overhead expenses of owning/renting physical space, while the customer saves on travel, both in terms of money and time.

2. Negatives: Existing guidelines and procedures for the sale and distribution of food items have not been able to adequately cover this new model.

Am intoo hospitality business too ... One solution to cut this illegality which swiggy and zomoto won't do as they will loose there revenue..they have to take individual pics of register kitchen every month and update on there app So while ordering u can see where ur food is being prepared in real
